About ISOE
Sssooo this is an attempt for me to try a better way to achieve my goals. There are 3 simple steps I aim to follow, the first of which is: 1) make the goals public, the second being: 2) write down progress updates (hopefully everyday), and finally: 3) to just do it (sorry for snagging the tagline Nike – pls don’t sue me).
On to the goals people:
1) To make a shitload of money. Napolean Hill says it’s best to define shitload which may differ for different people. For me, it’s $10,000,000 (if you are tired of counting zeroes then yea that’s $10mil).
2) Anthony Robbins says one needs to have a date to achieve the goal by. So fellow citizens, I am going to make a shitload of money aka $10 million in exactly one year from today. Oh what the heck – I also want to buy a plane (preferably a jumbo jet) by that date. If not buy (hey we gotta watch for maintainence costs and rising fuel prices !), then I need to join an executive jet membership company. Bottomline, I want a plane in one year. That would be the 16th of July, 2009.
3) A healthy body contributes to a healthy mind and I think I will need my mind to make this money. Well, probably at an optimized level so working-out needs to be somewhere in there. Oh what the heck – why not go for a six pack and a chiseled look while we are at it !
4) Probably a good amount subset goals are needed to get this done. So I am going to read a book a month (hopefully a useful one that is going to be helpful), I will invest time and play Golf once a weekas that’s needed to hobnob with the powers that are. And finally, and perhaps the most difficult, I will get my butt out of my chair and conciously socialize and network. How about cultivating 2 new contacts a month.
So there we have it. So it be written (which it is), so it be done (which it will be).
Oh and before some smartypants thinks of making assumptions – a bit about myself. In my early 30′ies, I am semi-successful per my standards, probably successful-to-very successful by most people’s standards. I am very lazy and do not like to do any work. Sleep is my favorite passtime, a habit I will need to overcome. I love to overdoze on ice-cream and everything classified as junk food (hmmm and I always wondered why I never got rid of my little belly). I am super anti-social and prefer my closest circle of friends and family. I am fairly well balanced but I think too much and take a very long time to make decisions. However, once I make up my mind – I get obsessive (which is probably a good thing to draw that $10 million closer). Now, let’s rake it in.
